British FTSE 100 down 0.78 pct on Tuesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Tuesday closed at 6826.05 points, down 53.37 points or 0.78 percent.

Share price of Berkeley Group Holdings increased by 3.46 percent, which topped the gainers of the blue chips. Other best performers included Mondi (2.76 percent), Persimmon (1.74 percent), Barratt Developments (1.73 percent), and International Consolidated Airlines Group (1.68 percent).

Standard Chartered led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 2.96 percent, followed by Lloyds Banking Group (2.63 percent), Paddy Power Betfair (2.45 percent), HSBC Holdings (2.25 percent), and Barclays (2.05 percent). Enditem
