Spanish stock market rises 1.67 pct, closes at 8,908 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 rose 1.67 percent on Friday to close at 8,908.90 points, up from the 8,762.80 points of Thursday.

Share values were up 2.88 percent in the week as a whole with Spain's risk premium going from 98.40 points on Monday to the 108.60 points of Friday and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closing at 1.036 percent by the end of the week, up from the 0.93 percent of Monday.

On Friday session, Grifols shares led rises climbing 3.50 percent, followed by Acciona, Enagas, Repsol, Endesa and ArcelorMittal that rose 3.34 percent, 2.91 percent, 2.83 percent, 2.64 percent and 2.49 percent respectively.

Melia Hotels shares also rose climbing 0.22 percent, as well as Bankia, Merlin, Tecnicas Reunidas, Banco Sabadell and ACS that rose 0.26 percent, 0.43 percent, 0.48 percent, 0.48 percent and 0.73 percent respectively. Endit
