U.S. dollar rises against other major currencies

The U.S. dollar rallied against other major currencies on Tuesday as recent hawkish remarks from Federal Reserve officials bolstered market speculation for an interest-rate hike soon.

In late New York trading, the euro slipped to 1.1137 dollars from 1.1190 dollars in the previous session, while the dollar bought 103.10 Japanese yen, higher than 101.94 yen in the previous session. Endit
