Xinhua, August 30, 2016 Adjust font size:

A Truck-lorry collision killed one person and wounded three others on a bridge linking the Asian and European parts of the Turkish city of Istanbul on Tuesday, local media reported.

The accident occurred when the driver of the truck and his son stopped their vehicle on the right lane to take a selfie photo.

The lorry then hit the truck from behind, killing the driver and wounding the son and two other people, the report said.

On weekends, many Turks flock to the suspension bridge, the world's widest with eight road lanes and two rail tracks, to take selfies, causing a traffic jam.

Police have warned the selfie takers not to stop on the bridge. Endit
