Qatar Airways flight makes emergency landing in Istanbul due to engine fire

Xinhua, August 18, 2016 Adjust font size:

A Qatar Airways passenger plane on Thursday made an emergency landing in Istanbul's Ataturk Airport after one engine caught fire, Turkish media reported.

The left engine of the Airbus 330 aircraft was on fire soon after taking off from the Istanbul airport, the private Dogan news agency said.

The state-run Anadolu Agency said the plane had a technical fault with one of its motors.

The plane has resumed its fight to Doha, capital of Qatar, the report said. Endit
