The following are the highlights of Zambia's major media outlets on Thursday.

-- Zambia's main opposition party has welcomed President-elect Edgar Lungu's call for unity, peace and co-existence in the wake of disputed elections.

United Party for National Development (UPND) Vice-President for Political Affairs Canisius Banda said Lungu's call for peace, unity and co-existence was welcome because this was what the opposition party has always advocated for. (Zambia Daily Mail)

-- Producers of edible oils have urged the Zambian government to increase duty on refined edible oils to 15 percent in next year's budget in order to support local processors. (Times of Zambia)

-- A consortium of civil society organizations has launched a project to improve the delivery of public health and agriculture services in southern Africa.
