Western Australian man faces 310 child sex abuse charges

A 57-year-old Western Australian man will face court on Thursday for 310 charges related to child sex abuse.

The Australian Federal Police (AFP) said in a statement that they discovered close to 26,000 videos and images of exploitations and obscene materials, including a footage of sexual penetration with a child under 13 years during a raid at the man's home earlier this year.

AFP Manager Victim Based Crime, Commander Lesa Gale urged parents and carers to have appropriate conversations with their children about personal safety and what they should do if find themselves in any situation that makes them feel uncomfortable.

The unnamed man will be charged at the Perth Magistrates court on Thursday. Endit
