China congratulates Nepal's newly elected prime minister

China on Thursday extended congratulations to Nepal's newly-elected Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, also known as Prachanda.

"China, as Nepal's close and friendly neighbor, stands ready to make joint efforts with Nepal to implement various agreements and expand mutually beneficial cooperation," said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying.

She said China will push forward the bilateral comprehensive cooperative partnership featuring ever-lasting friendship.

Dahal, chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center), was elected the 39th prime minister of Nepal on Wednesday. Endi
