British FTSE 100 decreases 0.17 pct

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Wednesday dereased by 0.17 percent, or 11.00 points, to 6,634.40 points.

Share price of HSBC Holdings increased by 4.47 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. Standard Chartered, Associated British Foods, Next and GKN increased by 4.19 percent, 4.12 percent, 4.09 percent and 3.21 percent respectively.

Persimmon led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 2.73 percent, followed by British American Tobacco (2.44 percent), United Utilities Group (2.39 percent), Berkeley Group Holdings (2.35 percent), Imperial Brands (2.31 percent). Endit
