Brunei Monday afternoon sent an eight people delegation including three athletes to compete in three sports in the Rio Olympic Games from Aug. 5 to 21.

Earlier in the day, Hj Awang Halbi, Brunei's Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports held a ceremony at Hassanal Bolkiah Stadium to present the national flag to the Olympic delegation.

The minister conveyed the delegation encouragement of the Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and Brunei government, hoping the three athletes in the delegation to perform their best and make more people know about Brunei.

Halbi said that although Brunei sends a very small delegation to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, but Bruneians are paying close attention to the Olympic Games.
