1st LD: All gunmen holed up in Armenia's police station surrender, ending standoff

All 20 remaining gunmen barricaded inside a police compound announced their surrender Sunday, ending the two-week standoff, according to local state-run Armenpress.

A group of armed men stormed the Erebuni police station in Armenia's capital of Yerevan on July 17, killing one officer and taking hostages.

The gunmen reportedly demanded the release of an opposition leader. Endit
