Belarus sends 123 athletes for Rio Olympics

A total of 123 athletes and 57 coaches will present Belarus at the 31st Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, the National Olympic Committee of Belarus announced on its web-site.

Renowned Belarusian athletes, namely Olympic champions Yekaterina Karsten (rowing) and Max Mirnyi (tennis), Olympic silver medalist Aleksandra Gerasimenya (swimming), bronze medalists Yulia Bichik (rowing), Marina Litvinchuk and Olga Khudenko (kayak), Ivan Tikhon (track and field athletics) will compete for the Rio 2016 Olympic medals.

The Olympic Games will be the seventh for two-time Olympic champion Yekaterina Karsten. It will be the sixth Olympics for Vladimir Samsonov (table tennis), the fifth for Tatiana Drozdovskaya (sailing), Viktoria Pavlovich (table tennis) and Victoria Chaika (shooting). Endit
