One person was arrested on Tuesday on charges of having connection with one of the knife attackers that killed an elderly priest earlier on Tuesday, according to local media.

Two armed men with knives seized five hostage in a church near Rouen, north France, before killing a priest and seriously wounding another person.

They were shot dead by police while coming out of the church.

Visiting the site of the attack, French President Francois Hollande said the two men claimed allegiance to the Islamic State. French anti-terrorist prosecution had taken over the investigation into the attack. Endit
