An 18-year-old German-Iranian killed 9 people and injured 16 others in a shooting attack in a shopping mall in southern German city of Munich on Friday evening before he killed himself, said Munich police early on Saturday.

The likely lone shooter held dual citizenship of Germany and Iran and lived in Munich, said Munich police chief Hubertus Andrae at a press conference.

Three of the injured are in serious conditions, said Andrae, adding that some children were wounded.

Meanwhile, the police said it remains unclear whether any Asians were among the nine fatal victims. Endi
