Germany's benchmark DAX index unchanged

The benchmark DAX index at Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Thursday closed flat and stood at 10,156.21 points.

The European Central Bank (ECB) left interest rates unchanged and has not come up with new easing measures and the investors here were not impressed, according to local analysts. The blue-chip DAX index added 14.2 points, or 0.14 percent.

Deutsche Bank climbed by 1.78 percent. Daimler advanced by 1.31 percent. SAP added 1.25 percent. Adidas rose by 1.21 percent and RWE went up by 1.15 percent.

On the other hand, Deutsche Lufthansa fell by 5.95 percent. Volkswagen dropped by 2.11 percent. Deutsche Boerse slipped by 1.56 percent. Allianz plunged by 0.99 percent and Vonovia, a real estate company, lost 0.98 percent.

SAP was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 311.23 million euros (around 342.61 million U.S. dollars). Endit
