Peterhansel wins Silkway Rally 10th stage

Stephane Peterhansel from Peugeot dominated the 10th stage of the Silkway Rally here on Tuesday.

The 12-time Dakar Rally champion clocked 3 hours, 18 minutes and 49 seconds to win the 340km selective section from Hami to Dunhuang, Gansu Province.

Peterhansel's compatriot and teammate Sebastien Loeb finished second, 1 minute and 15 seconds further back. Harry Hunt from Mini All4 Racing ranked third.

The 9th stage winner Cyril Despres slipped to 4th in this stage but still maintained his first place in the overall standings with 22:25:08.

Chinese driver Zhou Yong finished 9th in this stage while ranked 14th in the overall standings.

The 11th stage on Wednesday will take place between Dunhuang to Jiayuguang covering a distance of 561km. Endit
