37 soldiers injured in Nigeria road accident

Xinhua, July 16, 2016 Adjust font size:

At least 37 Nigerian soldiers were injured when a military truck conveying them was involved in a road accident along Kano-Gaya road in northwestern Kano state, an official said Friday.

Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Kano, Aminu Umar, confirmed the incident to Xinhua saying the accident was caused by break failure.

He said the injured soldiers had since been taken to a hospital in neighboring Jigawa state.

Umar dismissed claims that some of the soldiers had died in the car crash. Endit
