The following are the highlights of Zambia's major media outlets on Thursday.

-- Zambia's electoral body has made strides towards ensuring that all eligible voters are not disfranchised regardless of their physical or visual challenges by developing a braille tactile folder to be used by the visually impaired people in this year' general elections.

Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) public relations officer Sylvia Bwalya said the tactile folder, which was also known as ballot paper jacket, has been developed specifically to ensure that blind people participate in the country's electoral process. (ZAMBIA DAILY MAIL)

-- Zambian President Edgar Lungu has pledged to improve people's living standards if re-elected in next month's general elections.

Lungu told a rally in central Zambia's Chisamba district that his goal will be to ensure that people's living standards are improved beyond the current levels if he wins the August 11 polls.(TIMES OF ZAMBIA)

-- Standard Chartered Bank has urged governments across Africa to create more trade friendly regulations and infrastructure for intra-regional trade to flourish on the continent.
