South Asia's first Huawei innovation center opens in Bangladesh

China's telecommunication giant Huawei has launched a "Customer Solution Innovation & Integration Experience Center (CSIC)" in Bangladeshi capital Dhaka.

Officials said the center which has been set up in Dhaka's diplomatic enclave Gulshan is the first of its kind in the South Asia region.

With the launch of the new center in Dhaka on Thursday, the number of Huawei CSICs across the world reached 20.

The Huawei center in Dhaka was inaugurated on Thursday by Bangladeshi State Minister for Posts and Telecommunications Tarana Halim along with senior officials including Li Guangjun, Economic and Commercial counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh, and Zhao Haofu, chief executive office of Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Limited.

Huawei CSIC is a global network of dedicated and global innovative state-of-the-art experience labs that allow interested parties to experience, validate and build information and communication technology (ICT) solutions and applications, the company said in a statement.

It said the showcase at CSIC aggregates over 120 global reference applications and services from Huawei's clients and research & development labs such as 4K video, IoT, National Broad Band and Mobile Broadband.

In addition, Bangladeshi people can also experience Huawei Enterprise Business solutions such as safe city and the latest Huawei Smartphone products in the center including its P9 and Mate 8, it added. Endit
