Xinhua, July 14, 2016 Adjust font size:

The radio station of militants loyal to the Islamic State (IS) group was destroyed and some insurgents have been killed as unmanned plane targeted their hideout in Achin district of the eastern Nangarhar province on Thursday, local media reported.

Citing Nangarhar provincial government spokesman Attahullah Khogiani, Tolo television said in its morning news bulletin that few important IS figures including radio technical experts are among those killed in the air strike.

IS outfit has yet to make comment on the report.

The security forces had in the past also destroyed radio station of IS fighters in Achin district. However, the hardliner militants repaired their radio and resumed their propaganda in the past. Enditem
