Lao stock market closes 0.90 pct down

The Lao stock market finished on Tuesday down 0.90 percent against the previous trading day.

The Lao Securities Exchange composite index decreased by 8.18 points to 1,096.73. A total of 14,200 shares worth about 71 million Lao kip (about 9,000 U.S. dollars) changed hands at the stock market.

There are five companies listed at the Lao stock market. Souvanny Home Center Public Company (SVN) had no trade. Petroleum Trading Lao Public Company (PTL) unchanged at 2,600 Lao kip (about 32 U.S. cents). Lao World Public Company (LWPC) had no trade. Laos' largest commercial bank Banque Pour Le Commerce Exterieur Lao (BCEL) also had no trade. Shares of state-run energy giant Electricite du Laos Generation Public Company (EDL-Gen) fell by 2.08 percent to 5,500 Lao kip (about 68 U.S. cents). Enditem
