Indian stocks closed higher Friday on upbeat investor sentiment, marking a big-bang opening for the July futures and options series.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex closed at 27,144.91, 145.19 points or 0.54 percent up from previous close of 26,999.72, with a turnover of 477.47 crore rupees (about 70.9 million U.S. dollars). Endit
