British FTSE 100 rises 2.64 pct on Tuesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Tuesday rose by 2.64 percent, or 158.19 points, to 6,140.39 points.

Share price of Hargreaves Lansdown increased by 8.90 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Associated British Foods, Land Securities Group, Next and Legal & General Group increased by 8.72 percent, 8.68 percent, 8.23 percent and 7.88 percent respectively.

Fresnillo led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 2.29 percent, following by Antofagasta (1.87 percent), Randgold Resources (0.87 percent), Paddy Power Betfair (0.87 percent) and Whitbread (0.67 percent). Endit
