Urgent: Gold up 4.69 percent after UK votes to quit EU

Gold futures on the COMEX division of the New York Mercantile Exchange advanced sharply on Friday as the United Kingdom voted to exit the 28-nation European Union (EU).

The most active gold contract for August delivery gained 59.30 U.S. dollars, or 4.69 percent, to settle at 1,322.40 dollars per ounce. Endit
