ISLAMABAD -- Three people including famous Sufi singer Amjad Sabri were killed in firing on their vehicle in Pakistan's southern port city of Karachi on Wednesday afternoon, local media and officials said.

DAMASCUS -- Syria's President Bashar al-Assad on Wednesday ordered the current minister of electricity, Emad Khamis, to form a new government, state news agency SANA reported.

NEW DELHI -- India on Wednesday successfully launched a record 20 satellites with one rocket from the southern spaceport of Sriharikota.

NEW DELHI -- At least 80 people have been killed in lightning strikes and rain-related incidents in India over the past two days, a senior official said Wednesday.
