DAMASCUS -- At least 70 fighters and military soldiers have been killed over the past 24 hours during battles in Syria's northern province of Aleppo, a monitor group reported on Wednesday.

PARIS -- French President Francois Hollande on Wednesday ratified the Paris climate agreement to curb green gas emissions, making France the first industrialized nation to ratify the accord.
Hollande also called on European partners to ratify the agreement by the end of the year. On Dec.12, 2015 climate negotiators of 196 parties adopted the accord at climate change talks which aimed at limiting global warming by 2 degrees Celsius. (France-Climate Document) Endi
