China-ASEAN Expo to promote cooperation between Vietnamese, Chinese enterprises: Vietnamese official

The China-ASEAN Expo 2016 (CAEXPO 2016), which will be held in both China and Vietnam, is expected to promote cooperation between enterprises of the two countries, said a Vietnamese official here on Tuesday.
Ta Hoang Linh, vice head of the Department of Trade Promotion under Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade made the remarks at a press conference held on Tuesday to introduce the event.
The CAEXPO Vietnamese Exhibition 2016 will be held in Hanoi from Thursday to Saturday while the 13th CAEXPO 2016 in China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in September.
According to Linh, China has many good businesses but not all Vietnamese enterprises know them. Therefore, through the event, many Vietnamese enterprises can discover Chinese brands, said Linh.
As Vietnam is a big importer of Chinese goods, many Vietnamese enterprises often buy raw materials and machines from China, Linh said, adding that the exhibition will help Vietnamese importers find suitable Chinese partners for better cooperation results.
According to Yang Yanyan, vice secretary-general of the CAEXPO Secretariat, as many as 166 Chinese enterprises from 13 provinces and regions will attend the CAEXPO Vietnamese Exhibition 2016 in Hanoi to showcase their products at some 330 stalls covering around 5,000 square meters.
The products to be displayed at the event include those in machinery, food packaging machines and technology, energy equipment, automobiles, among others.
Meanwhile, around 200 Vietnamese firms are expected to attend the 13th CAEXPO 2016 in China's Guangxi in September.
Vietnam is the country of honor of the 13th CAEXPO. Endit
