Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said on Monday that it has busted a terrorist group in northwest of the country, killing five "terrorists."

The five, all members of PJAK, an Iranian offshoot of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), were killed in an ambush near the city of Sardasht in Iran's northwestern province of West Azarbaijan bordering Turkey, the IRGC said in a statement on its website.

It said that the PJAK members was behind the "martyrdom" of three local Basiji militia forces.
