The following are the highlights of Zambia's major media outlets on Saturday.

-- Zambian Vice President Inonge Wina assured that peace will prevail before during and after the tripartite elections scheduled for August this year.

While acknowledging that the country may be facing pockets of violence in the run up the August 11 polls, the Zambian vice president expressed confidence that the country will maintain its traditional role of being a peaceful nation. (ZAMBIA DAILY MAIL)

-- The Zambian government intends to employ 9000 workers in the health sector following the construction of more health facilities in the country.

Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary Peter Mwaba said the construction of health facilities in various parts of the country has necessitated the need to employ more health workers. (TIMES OF ZAMBIA)

-- The Malawian government has started investigating reports that some of its citizens obtained national identity cards and voters' cards in Zambia in order to take part in the forthcoming elections.

There have been reports that Zambia's ruling Patriotic Front mobilized hundreds of people from Malawi, Mozambique, Democratic Republic of Congo and Angola and issued them with voters' cards in order to help the ruling party win the August 11 polls. (THE POST) Endit
