"A group of Islamic State fighters attacked police headquarters in Deh Bala district early Saturday, triggering a gun battle which lasted for a couple of hours, during which 13 IS rebels and four police were killed," Khogiani told Xinhua.

Seven militants had been injured during the firefight, the official added.
