The following are highlights of leading Nigerian media outlets on Tuesday.

-- President Muhammad Buhari has constituted a high powered committee to begin an intensive dialogue with Niger Delta militants.

The federal government will also reduce military operations in the region to allow dialogue with the militants and other aggrieved individuals. (Daily Trust)

-- One of the fiercest organized protests by any groups in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital in so many years, paralyzed the sprawling mega-city on Monday when secondary school students went on rampage.

They destroyed property including Governor Abiola Ajimobi's personal house in expression of their rejection of the state government's purported education privatization policy. (The Guardian)

-- The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission will on Tuesday arraign Azibaola Robert, a cousin of former President Goodluck Jonathan, for allegedly receiving a 40 million U.S. dollar contract from the former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki.

The businessman's arraignment will come up a day after Jonathan admitted that he was being investigated by the President Muhammadu Buhari's government for unknown allegations. (The Punch) Endit
