British FTSE 100 rises 1.03 pct on Monday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Monday rose by 1.03 percent, or 63.77 points, to 6,273.40 points.

Share price of Anglo American increased by 11.12 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. Rio Tinto, BHP Billiton, Glencore, and Antofagasta increased by 6.36 percent, 6.26 percent, 6.23 percent and 5.07 percent respectively.

Royal Bank of Scotland Group led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 2.02 percent, following by Tesco (1.73 percent), Barratt Developments (1.56 percent), Wolseley (1.52 percent) and Persimmon (1.46 percent). Endit
