Xinhua, June 3, 2016 Adjust font size:

China's top political advisor Yu Zhengsheng on Friday met with Khalid Hilal Al Ma'awali, chairman of the Consultative Council of Oman.

Yu hailed the stable growth of bilateral ties, frequent high-level exchanges and mutual support for each other's core interests and major concerns since both countries established diplomatic ties in 1978.

Yu, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), called on both sides to increase mutual trust, synergize development strategies within the Belt and Road Initiative and expand cooperation in trade, culture and counterterrorism.

China's CPPCC is willing to enhance exchanges with the Consultative Council of Oman to contribute to bilateral relations, Yu said.

Ma'awali said Oman has traditional friendship with China and is ready to expand mutually beneficial cooperation with China. Endi
