Indian stocks close higher

Indian stocks smartly bounced back in the closing hours of Thursday's session to close with gains after the Met department said that it expects favorable conditions for advance of the monsoon towards the Bay of Bengal in the next two days.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex closed at 26,843.14, 129.21 points or 0.48 percent up from the previous close of 26,713.93, with a turnover of 504.26 crore rupees (about 75.0 million U.S. dollars). Endit
