Singapore stocks close 0.02 percent lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 0.52 points or 0.02 percent to close at 2,790.54.

A total of 1.03 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.01 billion Singapore dollars (731.1 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 243 to 147, while 521 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 5.69 points or 0.20 percent to close at 2,791.06 on Tuesday. Enditem
