Turkish military says hits IS targets in Syria's Aleppo, killing at least 28

Turkey said Monday that it launched artillery strikes on Islamic State (IS) targets in Syria's Alepp and Iraq, killing at least 28 terrorists.

In a statement, the Turkish General Staff said 58 positions in Aleppo were hit in cross-border artillery Sunday, and two bomb-laden vehicles were destroyed.

Also on Sunday, the Turkish air force targeted five positions of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party in Metina, northern Iraq.

The General Staff did not elaborate on casualties in the attack on Metina. Endit
