Spanish stock market falls 0.50 pct, closes at 9,079 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 fell 0.50 percent on Thursday to close at 9,079.20 points, down from the 9,125 points of Wednesday.

On Thursday's session, Banco Popular shares led falls losing 26.49 percent, followed by Banco Sabadell, Caixabank, Bankia, Sacyr and Banco Santander that lost 5 percent, 4.31 percent, 2.41 percent, 1.97 percent and 1.85 percent, respectively.

On the other hand, ArcelorMittal shares led rises climbing 7.04 percent, followed by Amadeus, Acerinox, AENA, Tecnicas Reunidas and Telefonica that rose 2.22 percent, 2.18 percent, 1.09 percent, 1.07 percent and 0.85 percent, respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium stood at 136.90 on Thursday closing time, climbing four points since Wednesday, and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.5 percent, showing no big differences when compared with that of Wednesday. Endit
