Indian stocks benchmark Sensex staged its third-biggest rally of 2016 and the biggest percentage gains since Feb. 15 on Wednesday.
Optimism over fading El Nino effect as suggested by the Australian Met department, which may augur well for India, largely helped the surge.
The 30-share S&P BSE Sensex closed at 25,881.17, 575.70 points or 2.28 percent up from the previous close of 25,305.47, with a turnover of 460.01 crore rupees (about 68.3 million U.S. dollars). Endit
