S. African president appeals ruling over reinstatement of corruption charges against him

Xinhua, May 24, 2016 Adjust font size:

South African President Jacob Zuma on Tuesday filed a notice of application for leave to appeal the decision of the Gauteng High Court regarding the reinstatement of corruption charges against him.

The president believes that the decision of the court affects him directly and is of a strong view that the court erred in several respects in its decision, the Presidency said.

On Monday, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) said they will also appeal the High Court decision to reinstate the 783 corruption charges against Zuma. Endit
