World' s leading three-cushion billiards players compete in Vietnam

Thirty-two three-cushion billiards players, including the world' s top five are vying for prizes of 40,000 euro at the World Cup 2016' s final round in Vietnam' s Ho Chi Minh City from May 20-22.

The world' s top five three-cushion billiard players include Torbjorn Blomdahl from Sweden, Daniel Sanchez from Spain, Dick Jaspers from the Netherlands, and Frederic Caudron and Eddy Merckx from Belgium.

On Friday, Vietnam' s leading three-cushion billiard players, including Duong Anh Vu, Truong Quang Hao and Ma Minh Cam defeated their respective rivals. Meanwhile, defending champion Tayfun Tasdemir from Turkey lost to South Korean opponent Heo Jung-han.

The World Cup 2016' s qualifying round took place from May 16-19, attracting over 100 players from 19 countries and regions.

Ho Chi Minh City also hosted World Cup 2015 of three-cushion billiards. It currently has over 1,000 billiards clubs. Endit
