Croatia would resettle its first group of Syrian refugees from Greece and Italy next month, local media reported on Friday.

Croatian Interior Minister Vlaho Orepic, who attended a council of European Union(EU) interior ministers meeting in Brussels, said the first group of 50 refugees would be relocated next month.

Of these, 10 refugees each would be from Italy and Greece and another 30 would come directly from Syria.

Croatia is expected to receive around 1,600 refugees under EU programs over a period of two years. Enditem
