The Egyptian Armed Forces said in a statement on Friday it had found parts of debris from the missing EgyptAir plane 290 kilometers north of the coastal city of Alexandria.
"The Egyptian aircraft and navy vessels have found some personal belongings of passengers and parts of the wreckage," Mohamed Samir, spokesman for the army, said in a statement on his Facebook page. (Egypt-Plane-Wreckage)

LONDON -- Four women were injured near a supermarket car park in west London on Friday morning, local police confirmed.

PARIS -- A helicopter of the French gendarmerie crashed Friday afternoon in Cauterets, Hautes-Pyrenees, in southwest France, killing four gendarmes on board, Le Figaro reported Friday, citing a gendarmerie source.

LONDON -- Passengers were evacuated temporarily from a lounge at Liverpool's John Lennon airport on Friday due a scare caused by the failure of scanning machines, the airport confirmed.
