A senior education official in east China's Anhui Province is under investigation for allegedly accepting bribes, the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) announced on Wednesday.

Yang Delin, vice director of Anhui's department of education, has been put under "coercive measures," which may include summons by force, bail, residential surveillance, detention and arrest. The SPP did not specify which measures had been taken against him.

Local prosecutors in the province's Fuyang City launched the investigation into Yang on May 13, the SPP said. Endi
