Singapore stocks close 0.46 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 12.52 points, or 0.46 percent, to close at 2,745.39.

A total of 1.28 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 832 million Singapore dollars (607.3 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 190 to 184, while 537 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 8.28 points, or 0.3 percent, to close at 2,732.87 on Wednesday. Endit
