-- Rather than asking for an apology from David Cameron for branding Nigeria as "fantastically corrupt", President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday told him to facilitate the return of the country's stolen assets to Abuja.

-- An Amnesty International report on Wednesday said at least 149 people, including children under the age of six, had died since February this year while more than 1,200 people remained in detention in Giwa Barracks, Maiduguri, Borno State.

But army spokesman, Col. Sani Usman, said "the allegations are very far from the truth and the Amnesty International knows this". (Daily Trust) Endit
