Two Malian soldiers killed in landmine explosion

Two Malian soldiers, one of them a colonel, died in an explosion on Wednesday after their vehicle stepped on a landmine in northern Mali, military sources told Xinhua.

The incident occurred in Gao region and left many other soldiers critically injured. The injured were admitted at Gao hospital, according the same sources.

On Tuesday, an attack on an army camp in Gao region also left two people dead, one soldier and an assailant. Endit
