Most ministerial-level agencies start latest CPC campaign

Xinhua, May 10, 2016 Adjust font size:

Most of China's provincial and ministerial-level units have started the latest education campaign by the Communist Party of China (CPC), the central authority said.

In February, the general office of the CPC Central Committee issued a plan asking all Party members to study the Party Constitution and rules, as well as remarks made by General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee Xi Jinping. They are also required to become qualified Party members.

As of the end of April, all 31 provincial-level regions, Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, 128 central authority agencies, 67 centrally-administered enterprises and financial institutions, 31 centrally-administered colleges, had started the campaign, the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee said.

The year-long campaign, aiming to instill the values CPC wants in its 88 million members, is the latest in a series of educational campaigns.

The previous campaign -- "three stricts and three honests" -- referred to being strict in morals, power and self-discipline, along with honesty in decisions, business and behavior.

Party members approved of and firmly supported the campaign, saying that Xi's remarks are the latest achievement of the sinicization of Marxism and that all members should learn to be model Party members. Endi
