1st LD Writethru: 12 injured in hand grenade attack in Pakistan's Karachi

At least 12 people including three children were injured when some unknown militants hurled a hand grenade at a restaurant in Pakistan's southern port city of Karachi on Sunday, local Urdu media reported.

Dunya TV said that two militants coming on motorbike attacked the people with the hand grenade and fled the scene.

The incident happened at about 5:05 p.m. (local time) in Lyari area of Karachi, the capital city of the country's south Sindh province.

The injured people have been shifted to a nearby hospital where two of them are said to be in critical condition.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.

Police has cordoned off the area for investigations. Endit
