Kenya's rescuers have pulled out seven more bodies from the debris in a collapsed residential building in Nairobi's Huruma estate, bringing the death toll to 33 on Thursday.

The National Disaster Management Unit Incident Commander Pius Masai said five bodies were retrieved on Wednesday and two on Thursday morning. (Kenya-Society)

BAGHDAD -- At least 17 civilians were killed in a U.S. bombing raid in northern Iraq's city of Tal Afar in the early hours of Thursday, Al Jazeera's Arabic channel reported.

London -- Liu Xiaoming, Chinese ambassador to Britain, has demanded stopping meddling in the South China Sea dispute by some politicians and media outlets in the United States and Britain, in a signed article to the Times published Wednesday.

"The issue of the South China Sea is being ramped up by those in the US and the UK who accuse China of causing tension in the region.
