Urgent: 13 killed by suspected ADF rebels in eastern DR Congo

Thirteen people were killed on Tuesday night in Beni territory, east of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo), by suspected members of a Ugandan rebel group, Allied Democratic Forces (ADF).

A local non-governmental organization led by a human rights advocate Omar Kavota, said the ADF fighters invaded Mimibo and Mutsonge localities in northern Beni between 7:45 p.m.to 9 p.m. on Tuesday.

A statement from the organization said the place of the attack was situated about 200 meters from a camp of the UN Mission for Stabilization of Congo (MONUSCO). Endit
